El Desnivel (Defensa 855, San Telmo) The enviroment is very nice. It offers “porteño” style barbaques, as along with a variety of home-made, abundant and delicious meals, however inexpensive. The place closes on mondays. Due to the large number of persons visiting this site, one may, eventually, notice somehow large queues of attendants at the entrance.
Cabaña Las Lilas (Av. La Bicicleta Naranja The Orange Bicycle ("La Bicicleta Naranja") offers the visitor, likewise, bicycle tours and rents to ride by the city environment. Flipar con los rascacielos de Puerto Madero: A place that, even the same "porteños", dim as strange. Puerto Madero is the youngest of the neighbourhoods in the city and is nowadays greeting its 20 years old. The place characterizes by the combination of, at the old harbour, buildings with exposed brick. These being constructions, however, recycled so as to become into beautiful dining places and bars, whereat, and all along the riverside, the buildings landscape, shows itself well into contrast with the shining crystal - dressed skyscrapers, that one may see at the background. Something that is, beyond any doubts, curiously intriguing and unexpected as in Buenos Aires. Broad streets, a walk by the riverside, an ecological reservoir, as in the background, and a large number of somehow expensive restaurants and shops shape up this new neighbourhood, well deserving to be visited...¡and further beyond as in a sunny day!.
Mercado de abastos: The old and huge "Mercado de Abastos" (Old Grocery Market) was once recycled and turned into a commercial mall, -- or "shopping", as the inhabitants of Buenos Aires use to name it --. It deserves some survey, specially if one happens to be nearby (metro station "Carlos Gardel"), whereat, likewise, one may find a large number of tango places, fashion stores offering typical tango garnments and... the "porteños"'s graffities. Manzana de las Luces: Perú 272. Its history surmounts upto 1633 when jesuits started the buiding of a temple and a school. During the spaniard viceroys' times, the school name was "Real Colegio de San Carlos", and, it hosted reknown students such as: Belgrano, Saavedra, Moreno, Paso, Las Heras, Dorrego and Rivadavia, amongst many others. The magnificent Church of San Ignacio was built in a barroque architectonic style by the same jesuits, and, it became duly completed in 1722, so as to be granted, nowadays, the name of the most antique church in Buenos Aires. Another sample on the attractions of the neighbourhood relates to the mistery of the underground tunnels that were excavated through the very foundations of the "barrio de Monserrat" (neighbourhood of Monserrat) during the century XVIII. One may assume that they had suited a defensive purpouse, though one may not set aside that they may had been used by smugglers. According to the theories of whom had studied and transited the same, these tunnels connected the "Cabildo", and / or the Cathedral with the Churches, whose towers would act as a "mangrullos" (watchtowers). At the present time this is a cultural centre whereat one can watch: movies, theatrical plays, and, children's and plastic art gallery shows, and, attend courses and workshops, and, further on, buy objects at the handicrafts' market place.
Fragata Sarmiento: Muelle 3, Puerto Madero. This frigate is the navy symbol of the Argentine Republic, and it had been used as a ship to train argentine sailors in the very last years of their navy studies. At the present times it has become into a navy museum. Mondays to Sundays from 2hs. to 10 hs. PM. Jardín Botánico: Av. Santa Fe 3951. This garden is placed at the neighbourhood of Palermo and it was disgned by the French - borne landscape architect "Carlos Thays". It is a place of classical japanese style gathering a large variety of plants and trees amidst artificial lakes as connected by wooden bridges. Palermo Hollywood: In between the streets Juan B. Justo, Niceto Vega, Dorrego and Paraguay. This area of the neighbourhood of Palermo acquires its name on the grounds of, usually, gathering a large number of cinematographic and television studies, and, by this token, being the most popular place amongst artists. In its vicinity of the square Julio Cortazar, ("La Placita"), one may find a large number of pubs, restaurants, discotheques, art galleries, design houses and bars, whereat actors often play alternative theatrical shows. Caminito: The neighbourhood of La Boca, locates nearby the river "Riachuelo". The famous “Caminito” is a one block walkway, without any sidewalks nor gates, and, it characterizes itself by a large number of colourful tin houses with a lengthy line of attractive windows and terrace - like balconies all along the run; however, whereat one may observe: artists and paintors doing their works, and, tango dancers performing, on the street, so as the tourists may openly admire them. The name "Caminito" stems from the same famous tango song "Caminito", written in 1926 by Gabino Coria Peñaloza and Juan de Dios Filiberto.
Reserva ecológica Costanera Sur It is an ecological reservoir of plants and animals deserving to be visited. One may loose its track, as if one was far away from civilization, however, while glancing at the magnificency of the "Rio de la Plata" and, perhaps, one can catch a glimpse at the coastal sites of Uruguay, by the other riverside.

Where can one go to have either a meal or a drink.
Plaza Serrano: This square is considered as the heart of Buenos Aires, that one knows, as nowadays, as "Palermo Soho", indeed, popularized this way due to the large number of craftsmen and artists that it usually gathers, especially on weekends, when an important, likewise, number of plastic artists dare to show their works. “La placita”, as people in the area usually names it, is, besides, a centre for cultural activities, of commercial shops and argentine designers proposing their contributive pathways on the new trends in the field. Quite as within an attractive mixture of bohemme and modernism, one can buy things, take entertaining walks, take a look to the appealing proposals by the bars and restaurants, fitted to their own personnalities as suiting the nature of the surrounding environment, and, by it, to be allowed to share, somehow, those entertainment proposals. It was better known, as through many years, as “La plaza Serrano”, (as people popularly acknowledges this to be its name nowadays), even though since 1994 its name was changed into "Plaza Cortázar", ten years after the afamed argentine writer passed away.
Plaza Dorrego: Nowadays this site is regarded as one of the main touristic landscape walkways of Buenos Aires. On its surroundings one may find coffee shops, bars and pubs settling their tables at the same square; and, further beyond, antique and craftsmanship shops. One may find a plentifulness of musical, street dancing and tango exhibition shows. On Sundays it takes place the Feria de San Telmo, ("San Telmo Fair"), during which the square and the neighbouring streets are runned by numerous tourists, from the countrysides and even from the outsides of the country, and, else, who contribute in providing to this site with a most particular fisonomical look.
Las cañitas: At this "non - official neighbourhood" one may encounter, as nowadays, restaurants and night entertainment places. However, this neighbourhood is well acquainted as being specially expensive, whereat one may meet, anyhow, the most modern buildings with the highest standards of security controls, as in most cases. In the day time the neighbourhood, still, remains very quite, with low vehicular traffic, specially regarding the organizational schemme of the streets in the neighbourhood.
Instead, at the night time, the neighbourhood changes due to the large number of pubs, restaurants and discotheques that have, hereat, settled their premises, as in the latter times.
Where to go to dance.
Club Severino: Club Severino stole Monday nights to Buenos Aires. It invites us with happy hours starting at 11,30 hs. PM, and, it offers the attendant with two dancing tracks, whereat "one may beat one's soul with the best of the hip - hops, rocks and pops".
Hype: Every Tuesday, starting at midnight, it takes place the party Hype at Club Kika (Honduras 5339), whereat one may listen the best on: electro, rock, hip - hop, and, drum & bass, with international disc jockeys and local artists who shall be enlightening the nights with unparalleled sounds: Matthew Ashley (UK), Simon Taylor (UK), Fabricio Ruiz (AR), and other specially invited guest interpreters. Garnment and climate.
The climate of Buenos Aires is mild most of the year. The mean temperature during the year 18º C accounts for a small number of intense either warm or cold days, what provokes one to take walks by the city at every time in the year.
The coldest month is July. Even though without frosts, however, it becomes necessary to go out with a wool coat, a jacket, an overcoat and scarf. At winter time the cold is moderate during the day, however, during the night time the temperature usually goes down considerably.
In Summer time, the heat is humid. The mornings are usually hot, and noons become, as a standard, very hot too, and, on this trend, the same temperatures, mostly, turn to show early in the evenings. At night time temperatures decrease very lightly, thus, one may seek into wearing airy and light garnments, without any need for coats.
The seasons that show most rainy are in Autumn and in Spring (from March to June and from September to December). These are mostly light and brief rains, that may not interfere with the development of activities and shall, eventually, allow oneself to go out either with an umbrella or with a raincoat
In sunny days, as either in Autumn or in Spring, the mornings are cool, the temperatures use to climb in pleasant ways upto noon time, and, go down during the night time.

Buenos Aires is a safe city. However as in the case of every large world metropolis, one has to keep in touch with certain security precautions. For instance, one should never allow for one's belonging to remain unprotected, for instance, as hunging on chairs at public places, neither to walk at night time on streets with poor illumination.
